The Apulian Aperitif Experience Box has been designed for 4 persons and comprises savory taralli (bagel-shaped bread specialties) in a fun, squashed variant sans central hole, so as to facilitate their enjoyment with a scrumptious spread of bell pepper or dried tomato pâté and a few drops of exceptional, fumé-flavored extra virgin olive oil; classic Apulian lampascioni, rich in mineral nutrients (walnut-sized bulbs of the Leopoldia comosa, a hyacinthlike plant; their flavor is similar to a small onion’s, with a distinctively bitter undertone), ready for pairing with bruschetta or local frisedde; and the Bombino varietal Brut spumante whose dry sparkle and intense floral bouquet round off the Apulian aperitif to perfection.

APULIAN-STYLE LAMPASCIONI

I Contadini (230gr): Open-field, short-chain crops from integrated production, sun-dried in Salento according to an ancient recipe that maintains their fragrance and flavors intact, then placed into jars by hand so as to preserve their nutritional properties.
Ingredients: Lampascioni, extra virgin olive oil, wine vinegar, chili pepper, garlic, salt, sugar, fresh mint leaves and lemon juice.

PRESSED TARALLI

Tenuta Cocevola (2 packets, 150gr each): Tasty, squashed version of the traditional, bagel-shaped taralli, this delightful Apulian specialty is prepared with the highest-quality ingredients, fragrant with wild fennel and traditionally hand-crafted.
Ingredients: Type 00 flour, extra virgin olive oil, white wine, fennel seeds and salt.

PÂTÉ OF BELL PEPPERS

I Contadini (230gr): Lightly spicy and intensely aromatic, it is prepared from mellow-tasting, open-field, hand-picked red bell peppers. Thoroughly rinsed and cut into slivers, these are briefly preserved in salt prior to being chopped up with vegetables and spices.
Ingredients: Sweet red bell peppers, dried tomatoes, eggplants, extra virgin olive oil, onions, hot bell peppers, aromatic herbs, whole sea salt and lemon juice.

DRIED TOMATO PÂTÉ

I Contadini (230gr): From hand-picked pear tomatoes, this tasty concoction can satisfyingly moonlight as pasta sauce. Once they are thoroughly rinsed and salted, the tomatoes are left to dry on traditional racks for 4-5 days, then hashed together with Racale capers and Mediterranean spices.
Ingredients: Dried tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, capers, onions, apple vinegar, whole sea salt, aromatic herbs and lemon juice.
